BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee, together with local law firm Chambliss, Bahner and Stophel, will host a workshop for the students of the Criminal Justice Career Track at Brainerd High School. The event will be held at BlueCross’ headquarters on Cameron Hill Thursday, Nov. 12, from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Brainerd High School students will get the chance to work alongside local attorneys and other legal professionals in mock court case scenarios as part of the Law Firm Diversity Pipeline Program.
The workshop is the conclusion of an educational series designed by the nonprofit organization Street Law, Inc., which is designed to encourage diversity in the legal profession. The group provides education about law and democracy throughout the United States as well as in over 40 countries worldwide.
