Harold J. Ogle, 89, of Cleveland, died on Saturday, Nov. 14, 2009 in a local hospital.
Mr. Ogle was of the Baptist faith. He was a World War II veteran, serving with the United States Navy. He was an avid reader and a big TN Vols and Atlanta Braves fan; he enjoyed going to the mountains.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Geneva Osment Ogle; parents, Jonas Elmer Ogle and Winnie Mae Ogle; brothers, Raye Ogle and J.L. Ogle; and sister, Gladys Clark.
He is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, Harold Eddie Ogle and wife Grace, Jimmy Dale Ogle and wife Linda and Harold Franklin Ogle; daughter, Eleanor Ogle Hice; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; special friend, Betty Keith; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 17, at Bethel Cemetery with the Reverend Charles Carroll officiating. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service.
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 17 at Fike Funeral Home prior to the service.
