Teen Resolve Weekend Conference Offered By Precept Ministries

Monday, November 16, 2009

“How can Christian students live in this broken-down world, filled with sin and distractions at every turn, and not compromise?” This is the question posed to students aged 12-18 during a weekend conference presented by Transform Student Ministries, the generational equipping of Precept Ministries International.

Ritchie Johnson, Transform Student Ministries director, will be the main speaker. The conference will be held Dec. 4-6, at the ministry’s headquarters in Chattanooga, located at 7324 Noah Reid Road.

The conference will use Precept’s Inductive Bible Study Method to bring student participants into a direct engagement with Scripture. Using several chapters of the book of Daniel, students will learn how to identify and mark key words and question the text to understand what God is saying to them today.

Officials said, "Transform Student Ministries’ conference is the only one that puts middle and high school students into the Bible for themselves where they search God’s Word for real answers to real problems."

Call 888 678-5660 for more information.

The cost ranges from $115-$170.

Thoughts On The Mathews Sentencing

It is not by coincidence I haven’t submitted an opinion piece in some time to the Chattanoogan.  The topics I cover are generally vitriolic in regards to local political decisions and their makers regarding public safety and I do not wish to associate my name with more noble subjects such as that of the heroic death and cowardly murder of Chattanooga Police Sergeant Tim Chapin, ... We did not live in the zone for either school so we looked for a house to buy that was zoned for Woodmore.   We found ... (click for more)
