Prep Basketball Season Opens With Hall Of Fame Games

It's time for high school hoops in Tennessee. Although regular season games do not begin officially until next week, teams will be playing in Hall of Fame games this week. TSSAA allows schools to play games this week with the proceeds of the games going to the Tennessee Hall of Fame.

Hamilton County teams hosting games on Tuesday include East Hamilton, East Ridge, Hixson, Red Bank, Signal Mountain, Tyner and Whitwell.

Games will continue on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

Weather Affects Lee Baseball And Sofball This Weekend, Covenant Tennis Postponed

Due to foretasted rain and possible snow Friday evening, the Lee baseball team moved up the start of their weekend series against Shawnee State University. Judge Hollingsworth Rules Littlefield Recall Effort Invalid, Cancels August Mayoral Election

Circuit Court Judge Jeff Hollingsworth on Friday afternoon ruled that the effort to recall Mayor Ron Littlefield was invalid and he canceled a planned special mayoral election in August to replace him.
