Brent M. Gunkel, 89, of East Brainerd, forerly of California, died on Tuesday, November 17, 2009 at Memorial Hospital.

Mr. Gunkel was a longtime resident of California and had been a resident of East Brainerd for the past three years. He was retired from Boeing International and was a WWII Army veteran having served in Europe. He was an avid photographer, nature lover, and loved to travel and hike.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Vera Lou Gunkel, and son, Phillip Gunkel.

He is survived by his son, Stan Gunkel and wife Dottie, Chattanooga; daughter, Rebecca Butler, San Diego, Ca.; four grandchildren, Julie Turner, Ooltewah; Tracy Chadwick, Jennifer Keller, Jon Gunkel, all of California; and six great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 20, at Heritage Funeral Home. Interment will be at a later date at Rose Hills Memorial Park in California.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Morris Hill Baptist Church, 1802 Morris Hill Road, Chattanooga, Tn. 37421, or The Red Cross, 801 McCallie Ave., Chattanooga, Tn. 37403.

Albert C. Kiser, 102, of Chattanooga, died on Monday, Feb. 13, 2012, surrounded by family.   He was born on Dec. 27, 1909, in Somerset, Ky. to the late Albert and Ethel Kiser.   He retired from TVA after 35 years, was a member of Red Bank Baptist Church for 63 years and member of the Fellowship Class. Waldo Oran Kinser, 58, of Chatsworth, Ga., died Sunday, February 12, 2012 at his residence. Waldo was born May 12, 1953 in Ellijay, Ga., a son of the late Wilbur Oran and Texxie Dotson Kinser; and was also preceded in death by a brother, Johnny Kinser; and sister, Debbie Kinser. Man Tells Police He Just Murdered His Wife

Red Bank Commissioners Choose Kenneth Welch To Replace Greg Jones; Jeno Won't Run Again
