Thompson Wolle Jones, 86, of Flat Rock, Alabama, died on Tuesday, November 17, after a brief illness.

A native of Chattanooga, he graduated from The McCallie School, and attended the Georgia Institute of Technology before serving as a navigator in the 351th Bomb Group of the 8th Air Force during WWII.

He later returned to graduate from the University of Chattanooga and was retired from US Pipe and Foundry Company. He was active in Ruritan National. He was also an avid gardener and naturalist.

Mr. Jones was preceded in death by his parents, John Hardin Jones and Ruth Elizabeth Hallam Jones, and by his siblings, Bettye J. Clinton and John H. Jones, Jr.

He is survived by wife, Ann M. Jones; children, Edward H. (Karla) Jones, Lucia J. Beiler, Judith A. Jones and Benjamin G. (Nancy) Jones; and four grandchildren, Sadie-Anne, Rebekkah, Jared and Hannah.

Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 20, at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with Dr. David Banks officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hills Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 19, and from 10:30-11:30 a.m. on Friday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer society, in lieu of flowers.

Eleanor Ritchey, 86, of Chattanooga, Tennessee, died on Monday, February 13, 2012, at her residence. She was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel and Gertrude Anderson, brother, Linn Anderson, one grandchild and two great grandchildren. Kinser, Waldo Oran (Chatsworth)

Waldo Oran Kinser, 58, of Chatsworth, Ga., died Sunday, February 12, 2012 at his residence. Waldo was born May 12, 1953 in Ellijay, Ga., a son of the late Wilbur Oran and Texxie Dotson Kinser; and was also preceded in death by a brother, Johnny Kinser; and sister, Debbie Kinser. Man Tells Police He Just Murdered His Wife

Red Bank Commissioners Choose Kenneth Welch To Replace Greg Jones; Jeno Won't Run Again
