Longtime Food Service Director At Baylor School

Albert Leon Carter, 83, of Chattanooga, died on Monday, Nov. 16, 2009, and will be deeply missed by his loving family.

He served honorably in the U.S. Navy beginning in 1944 and retiring after 30 years. He also worked at Baylor School for 23 years as food service director and retired in 1993.

Survivors include his loving wife of 34 years, Catherine Carter; daughters, Jackie Malone, Cassandra Jullienne, Lisa Szczygiel; son, Ronald Edwin Carter; sister, Mary Furrow; brothers, Webb Carter and Chancy Carter; grandchildren, Christopher Carter, Jenny Carter, Albert Carter, Shatzie Szczygiel, Camille Jullienne, Sophie Jullienne and Max Jullienne; great-grandchildren, Autumn Carter and Jacob Carter.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 20, in Chattanooga National Cemetery with full military honors.

Eleanor Ritchey, 86, of Chattanooga, Tennessee, died on Monday, February 13, 2012, at her residence. She was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel and Gertrude Anderson, brother, Linn Anderson, one grandchild and two great grandchildren. Waldo Oran Kinser, 58, of Chatsworth, Ga., died Sunday, February 12, 2012 at his residence. Waldo was born May 12, 1953 in Ellijay, Ga., a son of the late Wilbur Oran and Texxie Dotson Kinser; and was also preceded in death by a brother, Johnny Kinser; and sister, Debbie Kinser. Man Tells Police He Just Murdered His Wife

An Chattanooga man told police Monday night that he had just murdered his wife.  Police said Robert Lee Hardnett, 50. showed up at the County Jail to turn himself in at 8:40 p.m. He said his wife's body could be found at his place of employment, Power Supply Company, 1907 Daisy St.   Officers responded to that address and found the body of 34-year-old Elizabeth ... Red Bank Commissioners Choose Kenneth Welch To Replace Greg Jones; Jeno Won't Run Again
