Bessie Mae McKibbens Redmo,(85, died on November 11, 2009, in Maryland.

She was born in Atlanta, on July 24, 1924, to the late Dock McKibbens and Ada Mae Berries McKibbens.

Accepting Christ at an early age at South River Baptist Church, Jackson, Ga., Mrs. Redmon remained a devoted Christian.

In 1953, she relocated to Chattanooga, resided here until 1991, when she moved with her daughter to Maryland.

She was preceded in death by three siblings, James McKibbens Cramer, Aaron McKibbens, and Ola Bell McKibbens Robertson, and son, Calvin Johnson.

She is survived by ten children, Otis Redmon (Beverly), Jimmy Redmon (Mamie), Sylvester Redmon (Minnie), Hilton Johnson, Bobby Johnson (Betty), Shirley Gordon (Danny), Joann Kelly Moore, Kenneth Johnson, Regina and Robin Byrd; 20 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Josie Cramer; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Mrs. Redmon’s services will be held on Sunday, Nov. 22, at 1:30 p.m. at Greater Friendship Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Reginald Poindexter officiating. Interment will be in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.

The body will lie in state after noon on Saturday, Nov. 21, with the family receiving friends from 6–7 p.m. at John P. Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Avenue, 622-9995.

Nancy Martin Garrett, 73, died on February 9, 2012.   Survivors include her daughter, Felicia Harrisonl; sons, Anthony, Jeff and Larry; siblings, Edward Martin and Shirley Martin; other relatives and friends.   Funeral services will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, February 16, in the funeral home chapel. Albert C. Kiser, 102, of Chattanooga, died on Monday, Feb. 13, 2012, surrounded by family.   He was born on Dec. 27, 1909, in Somerset, Ky. to the late Albert and Ethel Kiser.   He retired from TVA after 35 years, was a member of Red Bank Baptist Church for 63 years and member of the Fellowship Class. Waldo Oran Kinser, 58, of Chatsworth, Ga., died Sunday, February 12, 2012 at his residence. Waldo was born May 12, 1953 in Ellijay, Ga., a son of the late Wilbur Oran and Texxie Dotson Kinser; and was also preceded in death by a brother, Johnny Kinser; and sister, Debbie Kinser. Man Tells Police He Just Murdered His Wife

Red Bank Commissioners Choose Kenneth Welch To Replace Greg Jones; Jeno Won't Run Again
