Teddy Lamar Scoggins, 51, of Ranger, Ga., died on Tuesday, Nov. 17, 2009 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Teddy was born October 14, 1958 in Gordon County, Ga., a son of the late William Layfette and Edna Faye Carr Scoggins; and was also preceded in death by his brothers, Earl Dean Scoggins and Ray Layfette Scoggins; and a sister, Betty Jo Scott.

He is survived by his loving wife, Peggy Scoggins; daughters, Kristian Faye Scoggins and Ashlee Paige Scoggins all of Ranger, Ga.; honorary daughter and son-in-law, Nickie and Robbie Kelly; honorary granddaughter, Mikalah Kelly; sisters and brothers-in-law, Marsha and Clarence Bo Collum, Dianne Corn of Cartersville, Ga., Joyce and James Kessleburg of Fairmount, Ga.; honorary father, Glenn Scoggins; honorary brothers and sisters, Carl Scoggins, Audrey and Wallace Bobo Young, Travis and Judy Scoggins, Ronnie and Sandra Scoggins; nieces, nephews, cousins and numerous special friends.

Services to celebrate the life of Mr. Teddy Lamar Scoggins will be held Friday, Nov. 20, at 2 p.m. at the Black Knob Baptist Church with Reverend Larry Hibbert officiating. He will be laid to rest in the church cemetery with Reverend Keith Gibson in charge of graveside rites. Donnie Stone, Kyle Young, Chris Stone, Phillip Young, Tony Fountain and Dale Tatum will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Richard Townsend, Clay Townsend and Robbie Kelley.

Man Tells Police He Just Murdered His Wife

Red Bank Commissioners Choose Kenneth Welch To Replace Greg Jones; Jeno Won't Run Again
