Cleveland Salvation Army Helps Serve Community Thanksgiving Banquet

The Cleveland Salvation Army is helping to serve the free Thanksgiving Community Banquet on Saturday, Nov. 21 at the Mount Olive East Fishes & Loaves Center, located in the Good Samaritan Clinic at 956 6th Street. There are two serving times for the community-wide meal, at 5 p.m. and at 6:30 p.m.

The meal is free but a ticket is required for entrance. The free ticket may be requested by calling 728-5060.

Ms. Ruthie Forgey, Director of Salvation Army Ministries in Cleveland, said, “We are delighted to be called on to help serve this Thanksgiving meal. Mount Olive Ministries is a great friend of The Salvation Army.” Ms. Forgey went on to say, “This fits our mission perfectly as we are called to give assistance to the hungry, the homeless and the hopeless without discrimination in the name of Jesus Christ.”

The Salvation Army’s Family Store and Social Services Center in Cleveland is located at 699 17th Street NW. The Army is planning to re-establish a Church and Community Center in Cleveland after the first of the year.

Man Tells Police He Just Murdered His Wife

Red Bank Commissioners Choose Kenneth Welch To Replace Greg Jones; Jeno Won't Run Again

Thank You, Judge Mattice And Chattanooga

I would like to thank Judge Mattice for handing down a 30.5 year sentence for Kathleen Mathews.  Obviously, no amount of jail time, fines, or lashings can bring back Tim Chapin.   A 30-year sentence will, however, make the world just a little safer.  That's what Sgt.
