Ruby Jewel Payne, 77, of Ringgold, died on Friday, November 20, 2009.

She was born in Dekalb County, Al., to the late Guy and Ozella Hunter, and had lived in the North Georgia area since 1965.

She was a faithful member of Battlefield Baptist Church and was previously employed with Durkan Spinning Company.

She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Conley Payne and two brothers, Billy Joe and Waylond Hunter.

Survivors include two sons and daughter-in-law, Billy and Carol Payne of Rossville, and Phil Payne of Jonesboro, Tn.; two daughters, Sandra Bailey of Ringgold, and Shelby Payne of Cookeville, Tn.; brother, Charles Ray Hunter of Tampa, Fl.; sister, Jean McGregor of Ringgold; three grandchildren, Christa Mayes, Shawnda Morgan and Fawn Payne; two great-grandchildren, Zoe Mayes and Kayla Fisher, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 23, in the Fort Oglethorpe Chapel with Rev. David Crane officiating. Burial will follow in the Chattanooga National Cemetery.

The family will receive friends after noon on Saturday, Nov. 21, all day Sunday, Nov. 22, and prior to the service on Monday at the funeral home.

Albert C. Kiser, 102, of Chattanooga, died on Monday, Feb. 13, 2012, surrounded by family.   He was born on Dec. 27, 1909, in Somerset, Ky. to the late Albert and Ethel Kiser.   He retired from TVA after 35 years, was a member of Red Bank Baptist Church for 63 years and member of the Fellowship Class. Kinser, Waldo Oran (Chatsworth)

Waldo Oran Kinser, 58, of Chatsworth, Ga., died Sunday, February 12, 2012 at his residence. Waldo was born May 12, 1953 in Ellijay, Ga., a son of the late Wilbur Oran and Texxie Dotson Kinser; and was also preceded in death by a brother, Johnny Kinser; and sister, Debbie Kinser. Man Tells Police He Just Murdered His Wife

Red Bank Commissioners Choose Kenneth Welch To Replace Greg Jones; Jeno Won't Run Again
