Jamaha Garner, 30, died on Thursday, Nov. 19, 2009.

He was preceded in death by Lem and Elizabeth Talley, Clara Mae Garner, Max Talley, Hayward Talley, Elizabeth Flood and Corliss Robinson Jr.

Survivors include his parents, Valerie Garner and Allen Clark; other relatives, Katrina (Cory) and Jalen Boykin; Dexter (Sally), Maurice (Brenda), Sheldon, Darryl, and Emmett (Kathryn) Garner; Sarah (Michael) Tooks, Corliss Robinson Sr., Jerita Chapman; special friend, Roxanna Arnold, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 22, at the funeral home chapel. Burial will be on Monday, Nov. 23, at 10 a.m. at Highland Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, Nov. 21, from 6-7 p.m. at John P. Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Avenue, 622-9995.

Man Arrested For Confronting Southside Grocery Employee With Gun

Brandon Jamal Appleberry, 27, was arrested on Monday after an altercation with an employee at Southside Grocery on West 38 th Street, officers said.
