Steven Eugene Leffew, 54, of Hixson, died on Thursday, Nov. 19, 2009.

Steve was born on March 10, 1955 in Chattanooga. He was a 1973 graduate of Soddy Daisy High School where he played football and baseball.

Steve was in the trucking business for over 34 years in the Chattanooga area and currently employed with Ryder Integrated Logistics.

He was involved with baseball and softball at Middle Valley Recreation and Hixson Recreation Leagues. Steve was a member of North Hamilton Church of Christ.

He was preceded in death by his father, Arnold Eugene Leffew; brothers, Richard Allen and Jackie Ray Leffew; and father-in-law, Jim Fulmer.

Steve is survived by his wife of 30 years, Hope Fulmer Leffew; two children, Kendra Courtney and husband, Chris; Derrick Leffew; grandson, Boston Courtney and granddaughter, Alayna Courtney; mother, Loretta Payne Leffew; brother, Gary Leffew and wife, Kathy; sisters, Carol Prather and husband, Rick and Cheryl Leffew; mother-in-law, Omega Fulmer; sister-in-law, Kyla and her husband Robert Hagood; several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank Dr. Jeffrey Kemp, Dr. Anthony Avitabile and staff, Hospice of Chattanooga (Amy Lantham) and the entire staff at the Hospice Unit in Memorial Hospital for their love and care giving to Steve.

The family will receive friends from 2-6 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 22, and 12-2 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 23, at the funeral home.

Funeral services for Steve will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday at the North Chapel with Minister Shane Robinson officiating. Burial will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens with Jeffery Kemp, Steve and Jason Hargis, Terry and Carlos Leffew and Greg Courtney serving as pallbearers.

Albert C. Kiser, 102, of Chattanooga, died on Monday, Feb. 13, 2012, surrounded by family.   He was born on Dec. 27, 1909, in Somerset, Ky. to the late Albert and Ethel Kiser.   He retired from TVA after 35 years, was a member of Red Bank Baptist Church for 63 years and member of the Fellowship Class. Kinser, Waldo Oran (Chatsworth)

Waldo Oran Kinser, 58, of Chatsworth, Ga., died Sunday, February 12, 2012 at his residence. Waldo was born May 12, 1953 in Ellijay, Ga., a son of the late Wilbur Oran and Texxie Dotson Kinser; and was also preceded in death by a brother, Johnny Kinser; and sister, Debbie Kinser. Man Tells Police He Just Murdered His Wife

Red Bank Commissioners Choose Kenneth Welch To Replace Greg Jones; Jeno Won't Run Again
