Melba Sue Hall, 73, of Calhoun, Ga., died on Thursday, Nov. 19, 2009 at Redmond Regional Hospital in Rome, Ga., due to complications preceding surgery.
Mrs. Hall was born on July 1, 1936 in Gordon County, Ga.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Grover and Lillie Mae Starky; a son, Boyd J. Hall; sisters, Marie Freeman and Betty Jo Starky; and brothers, Bill Starky, Charles Starky and Frank Starky.
Mrs. Hall is survived by her husband, Roy Hall of the residence; son and daughter-in-law; Don T. and Darleen Hall of Calhoun; brothers and sisters-in-law, Kenneth and Sue Starky of Calhoun, Alan and Patsy Starky of Calhoun; grandchildren, Bryan G. Hall, Brianna Hall, Brooke Dyer, Blair Hall, Stephanie McGill, and Devin Hall, all of Calhoun; great-grandchildren, Alyssa Hall, Sarah Hall, Spencer Hall, and Parker Dyer, all of Calhoun.
Services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Melba Sue Hall will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 21, at the Calhoun Chapel of Ponders Funeral Home with Tom Allison officiating. Interment will follow the funeral service at Sonoraville Baptist Church Cemetery in Sonoraville, Ga.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, Nov. 21, prior to the funeral service, beginning at 11 a.m.
