CCS Hosts Local Teams In Thanksgiving Tournament

The Chattanooga Christian School basketball teams will host a Thanksgiving basketball tournament beginning Tuesday evening.

East Ridge, Boyd-Buchanan and Hamilton Heights will play in the first year event.

Tuesday night features just two games with East Ridge and Boyd-Buchanan facing off.

Friday and Saturday will feature four games each night.

Tuesday, November 24:
East Ridge vs. Boyd Buchanan (Girls) - 6:30p.m.
East Ridge vs. Boyd Buchanan (Boys) – 8:00p.m.

Friday, November 27:
CCS vs. – Boyd Buchanan (Girls) 3:30p.m.
CCS vs. Boyd Buchanan (Boys) – 5:00p.m.
East Ridge vs. Hamilton Heights (Girls)– 6:30p.m.
East Ridge vs. Hamilton Heights (Boys) – 8:00p.m.


Saturday, November 28:
Hamilton Heights vs. Boyd Buchanan (Girls) – 3:30p.m.
Hamilton Heights vs. Boyd Buchanan (Boys) – 5:00p.m.
CCS vs. East Ridge (Girls) – 6:30p.m.
CCS vs. East Ridge (Boys) – 8:00p.m.


Eight To Be Inducted Into TSSAA Hall Of Fame

Cleveland State Baseball Drops Doubleheader

Man Tells Police He Just Murdered His Wife

An Chattanooga man told police Monday night that he had just murdered his wife.  Police said Robert Lee Hardnett, 50. showed up at the County Jail to turn himself in at 8:40 p.m. He said his wife's body could be found at his place of employment, Power Supply Company, 1907 Daisy St.   Officers responded to that address and found the body of 34-year-old Elizabeth ... Ammonia Leak At BASF On Amnicola Highway Causes Major Traffic Backups

A leak of anhydrous ammonia at BASF Corporation on Amnicola Highway forced the closure of main thoroughfares Tuesday morning, causing major problems for rush-hour traffic heading into Chattanooga.  The incident began around 4:30 a.m. at the plant when a small fire broke out at an anhydrous ammonia pump. I would like to thank Judge Mattice for handing down a 30.5 year sentence for Kathleen Mathews.  Obviously, no amount of jail time, fines, or lashings can bring back Tim Chapin.   A 30-year sentence will, however, make the world just a little safer.  That's what Sgt.
