Sit down in the presence of Bella and you'll soon have a furry friend by your side. You may not even see her coming. Bella's style is to amble-over-and-nudge rather than charge-and-leap.

Bella's Golden Retriever lineage is evident in her creamy golden brown coat. Her personality is also typical of the breed. She is friendly, lovable and devoted. Like other Golden Retrievers, she needs an owner who will give her daily exercise and recreation.

Bella has all the attributes of the classic family dog. She is waiting for adoption at the Humane Society kennel at 212 N. Highland Park Avenue (ID - A05324511). Kennel hours this week are different due to the Thanksgiving holiday. The kennel will close at 2 pm Wednesday and all day Thursday and Friday. It will be open 11-4 Saturday.

To volunteer at the Humane Society, call 624-5302 or email hesvolunteer@comcast.net.

Thoughts On The Mathews Sentencing

It is not by coincidence I haven’t submitted an opinion piece in some time to the Chattanoogan.  The topics I cover are generally vitriolic in regards to local political decisions and their makers regarding public safety and I do not wish to associate my name with more noble subjects such as that of the heroic death and cowardly murder of Chattanooga Police Sergeant Tim Chapin, ... A Good School Takes Involvement - And Response

As I have read the articles concerning Normal Park School I can’t keep from thinking when our children started to school in the 1960‘s. The two elementary schools in the city that were considered tops were Barger and Woodmore. We did not live in the zone for either school so we looked for a house to buy that was zoned for Woodmore.   We found ... (click for more)
