Naomi Elizabeth McClain, 75, of Soddy Daisy, died on Sunday, Nov. 1, 2009 in a Chattanooga hospital.

She was a charter member of Sequoyah Church of God. She enjoyed cooking, working with flowers and was a devoted housewife.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard McClain; parents, Jeanette and Samuel Crowe; daughter, Melinda McClain; grandson, Gavin Norman; sisters, Shirley Ivey and Thelma Gossline; and brother, Doyle Crowe.

She is survived by her daughters, Brenda Forgey and husband, Gary of Cleveland, Diane Farlett and husband, David, Marlene Tipton and husband, Don and Darlene McClain, all of Soddy Daisy; grandchildren, Amber Norman and husband, Chuck, Ashleigh Pinkard and husband, David, all of Cleveland, Brittany Tipton, Hannah, Michael, Jonathan and Rachel Farlett, all of Soddy Daisy; great-grandchildren, Rayven, Drake and Landon Norman and Rayleigh Pinkard, all of Cleveland; sister, Judy Howard and husband, Arthur of Soddy Daisy; brothers, Bobby Crowe and wife, Faye and Marvin Crowe, all of Soddy Daisy, Junior Crowe of Dunlap and Rickey Crowe and wife, Sharon of Sale Creek; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at Sequoyah Church of God at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 4, with the Reverend David Pinkard and the Reverend Gary Forgey officiating. Interment will follow in Chattanooga National Cemetery with Arthur Howard, Don Tipton, Shawn Hill, David Farlett, Tim Clepper and Chuck Norman serving as pallbearers. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service.

The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. Wednesday at the church prior to the service.

Waldo Oran Kinser, 58, of Chatsworth, Ga., died Sunday, February 12, 2012 at his residence. Waldo was born May 12, 1953 in Ellijay, Ga., a son of the late Wilbur Oran and Texxie Dotson Kinser; and was also preceded in death by a brother, Johnny Kinser; and sister, Debbie Kinser.
