I went down to Rhythm & Brews about a month ago to check out a new act I'd started to hear things about from a friend of mine. What I found when I got there was a group that seemingly already has a decent following despite only having been on the scene here in Chattanooga a few months.
I got a chance to talk to their drummer a little bit after they finished their opening set. I felt like I'd seen him before in various bands around town and he confirmed that. He told me a little bit of the history of how the group got together and blew me away when he said the band had only been together in its current form since mid-August.
The band plays mostly original tunes, with the entire band contributing to the process. Guitarists, Jeremy & Matthew Walley (yes, they're brothers), bassist Jeff Copeland, and veteran local drummer Jeremy Muse bring great new blues/rock tunes to the stage.
I saw them again the night before Halloween at Market Steet Tavern, and the energy they bring even in such a small venue is fantastic. My friends and I can't wait to see them back in R&B opening for Zoso on Nov. 6. It's going to be insane. If you haven't seen or heard about these guys yet, you will. And go see them; you won't be disappointed.
