Cora Lucille Chatham, 69, of Sale Creek, died on Wednesday, Nov. 4, 2009.

She was a member of Midway Baptist Church.

Her parents, Frank and Edith Cranmore; brothers Ray, Johnny and Jack Cranmore; sister, Genevieve James; and a nephew, Billy James, preceded her in death.

She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Wayne Chatham; four nephews; one niece; two great-nieces; and four great-nephews.

The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 6, at Williamson & Sons Funeral Home with the Rev. Carl Hunsucker officiating. Burial will follow in Hendon Cemetery.

Visitation is 2-9 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 5, at the funeral home.

Man Tells Police He Just Murdered His Wife

Ammonia Leak At BASF On Amnicola Highway Causes Major Traffic Backups

A leak of anhydrous ammonia at BASF Corporation on Amnicola Highway forced the closure of main thoroughfares Tuesday morning, causing major problems for rush-hour traffic heading into Chattanooga.  The incident began around 4:30 a.m. at the plant when a small fire broke out at an anhydrous ammonia pump.
