Sylvia Hendon Lewis Watts, 92, formerly of Soddy Daisy, died at NHC Healthcare on Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2009.

Mrs. Watts was preceded in death by her first husband, Sidney Lewis; daughter, Dorothy; sons, Colandon and James Lewis; parents, Norris and Maybell Bowman Hendon; five brothers and four sisters.

Survivors include daughters, Charlene (H.C.) Sunderland, Soddy Daisy, Belle Vandergriff, Memphis; sons, Ed (Gaynell) Lewis and Herman “Blackie” (Betty) Lewis; daughter-in-law, Carol Lewis, all of Dunlap; grandchildren, Richard Lewis, Lisa Kelly, Allen Sunderland, Eddie Lewis, Van Lewis, Regina Belknap, Jimmy Vandergriff, Lori Ann Brown; brother, Franklin Hendon, Soddy Daisy; sisters, Geneva Parks and Josephine McQuirk, both of Oregon; several great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. CST on Friday, Nov. 6, in Ewton Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Nathan Ewton officiating.

Burial will be in Hamilton County Memorial Park.

Visitation is from 3-8 p.m. CST on Thursday, Nov. 5.
