Oliver B. Stone, 74, died on Wednesday, Nov. 4, 2009.

He was a lifelong resident of the North Georgia area and was a member of South Rossville Baptist Church for more than 21 years.

He was previously employed with U.S. Soil Pipe as an Iron Pourer for more than ten years and loved going to church. He also enjoyed fishing, camping and gardening.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Oliver and Beatrice Stone; sisters, Jewell Arrington and Juanita Sprouse; and brother, Larry Stone.

Survivors include his loving wife of more than 56 years, Kathleen Stone, of Flintstone, Ga.; daughters and sons-in-law, Sandra and Bill Jones, of Flintstone, and Loretta and Mark McDonald, of Chickamauga, Ga.; brothers, Tommy Stone and G.W. Stone; sisters, Francis Lott, Ella Hand, Jean Warren and Julia Bramlett; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 7, in the Fort Oglethorpe Chapel with Brother Jeff Daniels officiating. Burial will follow in Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends after 4 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 6, and prior to the service on Saturday, Nov. 7 at the funeral home.

Kinser, Waldo Oran (Chatsworth)

Waldo Oran Kinser, 58, of Chatsworth, Ga., died Sunday, February 12, 2012 at his residence. Waldo was born May 12, 1953 in Ellijay, Ga., a son of the late Wilbur Oran and Texxie Dotson Kinser; and was also preceded in death by a brother, Johnny Kinser; and sister, Debbie Kinser. Ammonia Leak At BASF On Amnicola Highway Causes Major Traffic Backups

An Anhydrous Ammonia leak at BASF Corporation on Amnicola Highway is causing major traffic issues this morning. The leak reportedly occurred shortly before 5 a.m. The Chattanooga Fire Department responded with several fire companies, and the haz-mat team. Woman Shot Up To 8 Times In East Chattanooga Murder

Chattanooga Police pfficers responded Monday night to 1907 Daisy St. in East Chattanooga on a report of a woman who had been shot.  When they arrived around 9 p.m., they found a female inside the business who had been shot 4-6 times.
