Community leaders, physicians and staff of Memorial Health Care System attended a topping off ceremony to celebrate progress on the construction on Memorial’s new medical facility at 6400 Mountain View Road in Ooltewah.

Those in attendance signed a steel beam that was then raised to the highest point of the 25,000 square-foot facility, scheduled for completion by June 2010. The symbolic topping off ceremony included a small evergreen tree and an American flag representing reverence for life and our freedoms. The investment of more than $19 million demonstrates Memorial’s commitment to providing quality faith-based health care to the expanding Ooltewah area.

“This is an exciting day for Memorial, for Ooltewah, and for Chattanooga, and I’m happy to be part of it,” said Charles L. Arant, board chair, Memorial Health Care System. “The timing is great for Memorial to expand to this rapidly growing area.”

“Memorial Ooltewah allows us to bring advanced imaging services to the Ooltewah area to meet the needs of physicians and residents,” said James M. Hobson, President and CEO of Memorial Health Care System. “It will include another location of the MaryEllen Locher Breast Center and physician offices where our physicians in Memorial Health Partners will be able to provide quality medical care for the families who live and work in Ooltewah and the surrounding areas.”

We Are Blessed To Have Ron Littlefield As Our Mayor

Chattanooga is blessed beyond measure to have Ron Littlefield as our mayor.  It is a total travesty our city has had to endure the long frivolous battle with absolutely  no foundation other than disagreement with policy issues.  It has always been a vendetta directed personally at Mayor Littlefield which, if the "interveners" decide to appeal, will be a proven fact.   ... If “time is money,” the whole deal cost us millions of dollars and even more ... (click for more)
