Teens Caught Burglarizing Harrison Home

Friday, November 06, 2009

Two teens were arrested after neighbors spotted them burglarizing a Harrison home, the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office said.

Deputies were called to 5822 Fort Sumter Dr. Friday on a residential burglary. Deputies were advised by neighbors that two black males were observed at the rear of the residence and then seen entering the screened back porch.

The suspects were confronted by a neighbor at which time they ran from the area. Deputies stopped one suspect around Stonewall Drive and the second suspect on Lystra Lane.

Both suspects were charged with aggravated burglary and one was also charged with possession of burglary tools.

They were transported to the Hamilton County Juvenile Detention Center.

Janice Atkinson of the sheriff's office said, "The observant neighbors and quick response of the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office resulted in the apprehension of the burglary suspects with no loss to the property owner."
