Dorothy Foster Wannamaker, 83, died on Monday, Nov. 2, 2009, in Cleveland, Tn.

She was born in North, S.C., and then raised in Hendersonville, N.C. She was a resident of Greensboro, N.C., for 50 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John M. Foster Sr. and Mamie O. Foster; husband, Allen E. Wannamaker Sr.; and daughter, Dollie Warren Fishburn.

Dorothy graduated from Women’s College, now UNC-Greensboro. She taught school briefly and was a successful real estate agent with Brown Realty and Anne Allen and Associates in Greensboro.

Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Lewis and Delores Warren, of Cleveland; grandson, Lewis Warren III; several nieces and a nephew.

Memorial service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 14, in the chapel at First Presbyterian Church in Greensboro.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church, Elderly Ministry, 617 N. Elm St., Greensboro, N.C. 27401.
