A Chattanooga man who was on the Top 10 List of the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has been captured in Michigan City, Ind.
Preston Deshawun Muncy, 36, was at his place of employment when a patrol car pulled up on an unrelated matter and Muncy fled the premises.
Co-workers began researching, found out that he was wanted in Tennessee and notified authorities. He was taken into custody on Friday.
Muncy was wanted by the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office and the Soddy Daisy Police Department for attempted first-degree murder and aggravated assault.
Police said on Aug. 3, Muncy and his girlfriend targeted her estranged husband to steal his disability check and assaulted him.
Muncy has a criminal history that spans Indiana, Ohio, Tennessee and Georgia for theft, DUI and contempt of court.
