Thank You To All Who Helped Make Boxes For Soldiers

Tuesday, December 01, 2009

The members of the 252nd Military Police Company Family Readiness
Group would like to thank all the individuals and organizations who so
generously donated items for the Christmas boxes for our soldiers who
are currently serving in Iraq. Thanks to their donations, it will be
a brighter Christmas for our men and women who will be spending this
holiday season away from home.

Thank you to Mrs. Glass’ first grade class at Silverdale Baptist Academy for the items they collected and the notesand cards they sent for our soldiers.

Thank you to Chattem for their generous donation of several of their products, such as Gold Bond lotions and powders.

Thank you to Grumpy’s Music and Books, Inc. and to various friends of the 252nd for your donations of books and other reading materials.

Thank you to Baen Books, who is sending a box of their books directly to the unit.

Thank you to Starbucks for the several pounds of coffee that they have donated.

Thank you to Channel 3 for coming out and doing a piece on what we were doing.

Thank you to Kaylee Radzyminski and her organization, Tunes for the
Troops, for their extremely generous donation of over 1,000 CDs, DVDs,
video games and books.

And a very special thank you to the Hiwassee Chapter of the American Red Cross for their assistance on Sunday afternoon with the packing of the boxes and for the 150 plus postage paid priority mail boxes that they provided so that each soldier will
receive a Christmas box. Also, for bringing the recording equipment
that enabled our families to record personal messages for their
soldiers.

We’d also like to thank all the families and friends of the 252nd MPs who came out on Sunday afternoon to help us get the boxes filled. We could not have done it so quickly without your wonderful assistance.

And once the boxes were filled and all the forms filled out, we’d like to thank the Keith Street Post Office for their help in making sure everything was in order and starting the boxes on their way to our soldiers.

While the holiday season is a time for family and friends, it makes it a little harder when separated by thousands of miles. Thanks to each and every one of you for helping to make this Christmas season a little merrier for our husbands, wives, sons, and daughters as they serve their country.
