East Ridge House Suffers Extensive Fire Damage

An East Ridge house suffered extensive fire damage on Thursday.

East Ridge Fire Rescue and Police responded to 714 Haven Hill Lane on reports of a residential structure fire. Fire crews arrived to find the home heavily involved in fire and smoke.

Firefighters aggressively attacked the fire and laid several hoses in order to attack the fire from multiple sides. Firefighters made entry and confirmed no one was inside. However, they did rescue a small dog from the home. The dog was transported to a pet hospital for treatment by East Ridge Animal Services.

The exact cause and origin of the fire are under investigation by East Ridge Fire/Arson investigators.

Damaged is estimated at $120,000.

Mutual aid units from Catoosa County, Fort Oglethorpe and Rossville responded to assist with manpower and to respond to any additional calls for service in the city. The Hamilton County Rescue Service Rehabilitation Unit responded to assist firefighters.

The following units responded to the scene East Ridge Quint 1, Engine 1, Engine 2, Rescue 1, Rescue 2, Support 1, Fort Oglethorpe Engine 10, Rossville Engine 2, Catoosa County Engine 3, Hamilton County Rescue, and Memorial EMS.
