Brian's Hobbyland Holds Fundraiser For T.C. Thompson's

Brian’s Hobbyland will hold a radio-controlled rock crawler competition on Saturday, Jan. 2, on its new rock
crawler course for radio-controlled vehicles in Sale Creek. A fundraising event for T.C. Thompson Children’s Hospital Foundation, “2010 Crawl for Kids,” will begin at 1 p.m.

Entry fees range from $15 to $30, and there is no driver limit. This
competition will coincide with the grand opening of Hobbyland’s new
2,000 square-foot rock crawler course.

Registration and collection of entry fees will take place at the door.
Donations, payable to T.C. Thompson Children’s Hospital Foundation,
are welcome from non-participants. All proceeds benefit T.C. Thompson
Children’s Hospital Foundation.

Mark Phillips Was Victim In Fatal Hixson Pike Wreck

Mark Phillips, 54, was the victim in a fatal Hixson Pike wreck on Saturday afternoon. Police said the driver of the Ford F150 that went out of control and struck the Phillips vehicle was 68-year-old Warren Elliott.
