Regency Healthcare Group Acquires 3 New Offices

Regency Healthcare Group, a provider of hospice services and educational programs designed to meet the special needs of patients and families faced with advanced illness, has acquired three new hospice programs from Trinity Healthcare serving Chattanooga, Nashville and Joplin MO.

A ribbon cutting and open house celebrating the Chattanooga Avalon Hospice will be held March 31 at 7625 Hamilton Park Drive, Suite 19 from 4-6 p.m.

John Morris, president and CEO of Regency Healthcare Group said “We are excited to announce the addition of these premier hospice offices serving the states of Tennessee and Missouri. Regency Healthcare Group continues to build on its momentum in the acquisition arena with the addition of these quality providers.”

The three new offices will go by the name of Avalon Hospice and will continue to provide end of life care in the communities they serve. Avalon Hospice provides specialized care for patient’s experiencing a life limiting illness.

Hospice care is inclusive of the patient and their caregiver with an emphasis on physical, spiritual and emotional care. The care team includes physicians, social workers, nurses, chaplains, hospice aides and volunteers. Avalon Hospice works with the patient’s attending physician to personalize an individualized plan of care.

As a Medicare certified provider, Avalon Hospice relieves many of the financial burdens on families.

Mark Phillips Was Victim In Fatal Hixson Pike Wreck

Mark Phillips, 54, was the victim in a fatal Hixson Pike wreck on Saturday afternoon. Police said the driver of the Ford F150 that went out of control and struck the Phillips vehicle was 68-year-old Warren Elliott.
