Chattanooga major crimes investigators have arrested Dexter Talley of 4007 Meadow Lane in connection with Saturday night's murder on Webb Oak Courts.

Police said the victim was Robert Henry Brown VI, 33, of Chattanooga, who is also known as ‘Brikk” in the rap group Piney Woods.

Talley, 28, is charged with felony murder, two counts of especially aggravated robbery, one count of attempted first-degree murder and two counts of aggravated assault in connection with the murder robbery that occurred at 3929 Webb Oak Courts.

The victim sustained fatal gunshot wounds to the chest and died at the scene.

Josquin Jackson, 44, of Richmond, Calif., the second victim, is in critical but stable condition at an area hospital.

The Piney Woods group was signed with Black Ice Records of Richmond, Calif.

Jackson told police he was shot three times. He said he lay still on the floor to make the intruders believe he was dead, and they left without shooting him again.

He told police from his hospital bed that he and Brown were sitting in the living room listening to music when Talley arrived. He said after about 5-10 minutes, Talley said he was going out to get his cellphone and he would return.

He said when Talley came back he had three other black males with him. He said the men immediately began wrapping duct tape around their wrists and robbing them. He said the robbers took their wallets, jewelry and keys.

He said one of the men "became agitated" and shot Brown.

Jackson said he began wrestling with one of the men before getting shot himself. He said he lay quietly until they left.

Then he said he ran outside for help. He said he flagged down Deutrich Jones, who took him to the hospital.

The first officer on the scene said he found Brown lying unresponsive on the living room floor with blood coming from his chest and duct tape around his left wrist.

He said he was told that a second victim had been taken to Erlanger Hospital.

A neighbor said she saw an older-model, four-door, light brown or gray vehicle pull into the driveway at 3929 Webb Oaks Court. She said she saw two black males exit and enter apartment B.

She said she heard one gunshot, but thought it was a fire cracker until she heard three more shots a couple of minutes later.
