Helen Maryman German, 97, longtime resident of Signal Mountain, Tennessee, died on April 8, 2009.

She was born on September 30, 1911 in Chattanooga, Tn.

She was the daughter of the late C. F. and Louise Maryman and was of the Catholic faith.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl.

Survivors include her two daughters, Carlene Deason and Mary Alice Timms, five grandchildren, Arlene Timms, Mark Timms, Mike Deason, Chris Deason and Andy Deason, and eight great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday in the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with Father Mike Nolan officiating. Interment will follow in Chattanooga Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 11 a.m.–1 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
