Community Coffee At Brown Academy Is Friday

Brown International Academy, IB Candidate School, is an elementary school with a global perspective. On Friday, Brown will host their final Community Coffee for the 2008-2009 school year. Community members, current and prospective parents are invited to come in, ask questions, and tour the school. The Brown International Academy News Crew will also broadcast during this time.

"Great things are going on in the public schools in Hamilton County,” said IB Curriculum Coordinator Alicyn Wilkey. “Having the school open at a regular time each month provides an opportunity for us to showcase the learning that is taking place in our building. We are so proud of what goes on here each and every day!”


Dorm Wars Competes For Charity

The fight for the title of “Dorm Wars Champion” will begin Feb. 20 at 8 p.m. in Lee University’s Walker Arena. Ten residence halls come together to compete in a number of races and games in the annual Dorm Wars Competition. Mark Phillips Was Victim In Fatal Hixson Pike Wreck

Mark Phillips, 54, was the victim in a fatal Hixson Pike wreck on Saturday afternoon. Police said the driver of the Ford F150 that went out of control and struck the Phillips vehicle was 68-year-old Warren Elliott.
