Amy Helen Madden, 92, died on Sunday, May 10, 2009.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Abraham Madden; and father, John Rowe.

She is survived by two daughters, Alice Ruth (Carl) Foster, Chattanooga, and Mary Frances (Charles) Branson, Colorado Springs, Co.; three sisters-in-law, Estella Jackson, Lillie B. Russell, of Chattanooga and Jo Ann Armstrong, of Nashville; one niece, Bertha Smith; two nephews, Howard (Betty) Palmer, George (Dorothy) Palmer, all of Chattanooga; two granddaughters, Sharon Ann Branson, Colorado Springs, Co., and Michelle Swenson, Mesa, Az.; several great-nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, at New Home Baptist Church with Elder G.M. Spotts officiating. Interment in National Cemetery will be at 11 a.m. on Monday.

The family will receive friends from 6-7 p.m. on Friday at John P. Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Ave., 622-9995.

Brandon Jamal Appleberry, 27, was arrested on Monday after an altercation with an employee at Southside Grocery on West 38 th Street, officers said.
