East Ridge House Suffers Fire Damage

A house in East Ridge suffered fire damage early Wednesday morning.

At approximately 5:35 a.m., East Ridge Fire/Rescue and Police responded to 3111 Moseley Circle on a reported residential structure fire. The first engine company arrived on the scene to find heavy smoke coming from the rear of the home.

All occupants had safely evacuated the home as firefighters made an aggressive interior attack to cut off the fire. Fire crews were able to isolate the fire to a bedroom and its contents saving the rest of the house.

The cause of the fire is under investigation by East Ridge Fire/Arson. Investigators said that foul play is not believed to be involved.

Damage was estimated at $15,000.

East Ridge units responding include Quint 1, Squad 2, Engine 1, Engine 2, Support 1, Rescue 1, and Rescue 2 along with Memorial EMS.

Cleveland Council Applauds School Crossing Guard With 45 Years Of Service; City Getting Pool And Splash Park

I would like to thank Judge Mattice for handing down a 30.5 year sentence for Kathleen Mathews.  Obviously, no amount of jail time, fines, or lashings can bring back Tim Chapin.   A 30-year sentence will, however, make the world just a little safer.  That's what Sgt.
