More coaching changes have been announced at area high schools.
** Boyd-Buchanan has hired Cole Rose as boys basketball coach and Amber Nolen as volleyball coach.
Rose, a former Lee University standout, succeeds Jeff Brown, who took a full-time minister's role in Kingsport, Tenn.
Nolen succeeds Kristi Lenoir, who recently was hired as the volleyball coach at the new East Hamilton High School.
Rose played at Battle Ground Academy, then played in college at Freed-Hardeman, Belmont and Lee University.
Nolen played volleyball and then worked as a graduate assistant at Black Hills State University in Spearfish, S.D.
** Tim Daniels has made several changes on his football staff at Red Bank.
Former Red Bank standout Tyler Rich comes home from East Ridge, where he coached the last two seasons.
Also new to the Red Bank staff are Tyrus Ward and Mario Jefferson, who most recently have been at Brainerd.
Drew Lyness is also moving from Soddy-Daisy to Red Bank. He will serve as team chaplain and will help on the field as well.
** Former Marion County High school football coach Ken Colquette is coming home.
Colquette will join the football staff at Marion County as a volunteer assistant. He will likely retire this summer as principal at Grundy County High School.
** David Brainerd has hired Ashley Scott as its volleyball coach.
Scott is a former Ringgold player who helped the Lady Tigers to top four state finishes three times. She then played at Tennessee Tech and has been coaching the North Georgia Volleyball Club Aces the last three years.
