Sheriff Tim Gobble, candidate for the U.S. Congressional seat in the 3rd Tennessee District, has joined with 35 U.S. Senators, 175 members of the U.S. House of Representatives and other Congressional candidates around the country in signing a “Taxpayer Protection Pledge.”
By signing the pledge, Sheriff Gobble pledges that if he is elected to the U.S. Congress, he will, “Oppose any and all efforts to increase the marginal income tax rates for individuals and/or businesses; and oppose any net reduction or elimination of deductions and credits, unless matched dollar for dollar by further reducing tax rates.”
“I have a record of holding the line on tax increases,” said Sheriff Gobble. “As a member of Congress, I will support fiscal responsibility and oppose initiatives that create an undue tax burden on the American people. We are taxed enough already.”
