Rowland Family Reunion July 25

The Rowland Family Reunion will be held Saturday, July 25, 2009 from 11:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Goodsprings Community Center near Etowah, McMinn County, TN.

Bring your favorite covered dishes and drinks to share at the luncheon. Paper products and ice will be furnished. Please bring any family news of births, deaths, weddings, address changes, pictures, stories, Bibles, etc. and any new research you have done on the Rowland genealogy.

A meeting has been set for Feb. 11 to discuss a "Hixson Treasures from the Past" exhibit. Ammonia Leak At BASF On Amnicola Highway Causes Major Traffic Backups

An Anhydrous Ammonia leak at BASF Corporation on Amnicola Highway is causing major traffic issues this morning. The leak reportedly occurred shortly before 5 a.m. The Chattanooga Fire Department responded with several fire companies, and the haz-mat team. Woman Shot Up To 8 Times In East Chattanooga Murder

Chattanooga Police pfficers responded Monday night to 1907 Daisy St. in East Chattanooga on a report of a woman who had been shot.  When they arrived around 9 p.m., they found a female inside the business who had been shot 4-6 times. I would like to thank Judge Mattice for handing down a 30.5 year sentence for Kathleen Mathews.  Obviously, no amount of jail time, fines, or lashings can bring back Tim Chapin.   A 30-year sentence will, however, make the world just a little safer.  That's what Sgt.
