Bradley County’s newest fire station is now fully operational. County Mayor Gary Davis, Commissioners Connie Wilson, Louie Alford and Jim Smith, joined members of the fire board for the ribbon-cutting ceremony on Monday morning. Also on hand were Fire Chief Dewey Woody and all nine of the newly-hired firefighters who will man the fire hall 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Station number 10 is located on Tasso Lane at North Lee Highway. Mayor Davis said the new station will provide fire protection for the North end of Bradley County, especially Charleston, and is the newest link in the County’s goal to provide the best fire protection possible for all County residents.
