Middle Valley Church Of God Has Pastor Appreciation Day July 12

Middle Valley Church of God will celebrate Pastor Appreciation Day on Sunday, July 12.

In honor of Pastor Mitch McClure and his family, the 10:30 a.m. worship service will be a time dedicated to recognizing their commitment and service to God, the church and to the community.

Judge Bob Moon will be the special speaker for the service.

The ladies ministry is sponsoring a dinner in the Family Life Center following the program and all are invited to attend.


Brainerd Baptist Hosts Parents' Night Out Feb. 17

Parents' Night Out for parents with children birth through 5th grade will be Friday, Feb. 17, from 6-10 p.m. at Brainerd Baptist Church, 300 Brookfield Ave.  The cost is $11 for one child, $5 per additional child and dinner is available for $1 per child.  Space is limited.   The moring schedule will change Sunday, Feb. 19.  Worship services will be ... Mother Of Man Charged With Killing Sgt. Chapin Given Prison Sentence Of 30 Years, 6 Months

The mother of the man charged with killing Chattanooga Police Sgt. I would like to thank Judge Mattice for handing down a 30.5 year sentence for Kathleen Mathews.  Obviously, no amount of jail time, fines, or lashings can bring back Tim Chapin.   A 30-year sentence will, however, make the world just a little safer.  That's what Sgt.
