(CIEE: Council on International Educational Exchange is seeking host family from the Chattanooga area for the international student exchange program.
CIEE is based in Portland, Maine, and is a worldwide leader of international education and student exchanges.
The CIEE USA High School program is looking for local coordinators to work with students and host families to open their hearts and homes to welcome an international exchange student into their community for an academic school year.
Students will be arriving in the area during the end of August to spend the academic year. CIEE exchange students hail from all over the globe and are eager to learn about the United States, and become a member of an American family, community, and school.
The USA High School program also provides an opportunity for local coordinators and host families to form lifelong relationships and unforgettable memories, it was stated.
Over 1,200 CIEE high school students arrive in the U.S. each year. Students live with host families, attend high school, and become true members of their new families and communities.
Students participating in the exchange are between 15–18 years of age, have studied English for a minimum of three years, have their own medical insurance & spending money, and have undergone a thorough personal screening and interview process.
