Trisha Hardin Named Grants Coordinator For East Ridge

The city of East Ridge announced the appointment of Trisha Hardin as grants coordinator.

Ms. Hardin will be directly involved in conducting the necessary research to identify and pursue grant opportunities to advance the city’s goals for growth.

“Ms. Hardin comes to us from one of the best council manager communities in the southeast, Asheville, N.C.,” said William Whitson, city manager for East Ridge.

“She has a tremendous work ethic and has outstanding communication, writing and management skills. She has worked as part of the City of Asheville's management and grants team and has even been responsible for all public communications for the City Manager's Office.

She is highly regarded and will make a strong member of the professional team we are building here in East Ridge.”

Ms. Hardin earned a BA in Political Science and a MA in Public Affairs from Western Carolina University. Previously, she worked as a Public Information Officer in N.C. where she was responsible for strategic planning efforts and working on a grant team.

Ammonia Leak At BASF On Amnicola Highway Causes Major Traffic Backups

An Anhydrous Ammonia leak at BASF Corporation on Amnicola Highway is causing major traffic issues this morning. Woman Shot Up To 8 Times In East Chattanooga Murder

Chattanooga Police pfficers responded Monday night to 1907 Daisy St. in East Chattanooga on a report of a woman who had been shot.  When they arrived around 9 p.m., they found a female inside the business who had been shot 4-6 times.
