Air Force Veteran Was Business Owner And Postman

David Lewis Sutton, 67, of Harrison, Tn., died on Wednesday, July 1, 2009.

He was predeceased by his father and mother, George Lewis and Vina Elizabeth Sutton.

David graduated from Kirkman High School in 1958 and then attended Cookeville University. He served in the Air Force for eight years. He was employed by Sears for 15 years, established his own local business for 20 years and later he was also a postman.

He was a benevolent person who donated his life to helping children and those who had lost their way in life. He was active in scouting, the Snow Hill community, children ministries at his church, and the juvenile detention homes.

He touched many lives in his church and with his outdoor ministries at Harrison Bay Park. He was an avid outdoorsman, he was a member of the TVCC and loved canoeing, biking, hiking and fishing with his friends and family.

Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Juanita Sutton; children, Vina Davis, William Sutton, Jonathon Sutton, and Linda Stone, all of Chattanooga; grandchildren, Jacob Davis, Hannah Stone, and Sydney Stone.

Visitation will be at Lakewood Baptist Church, on Sunday, July 5, from 2-4 p.m.

The Rev. Dr. David Bragg will conduct the service on Sunday, July 5, at 4 p.m.

Interment will be in Chattanooga National Cemetery Monday, July 6, at 2 p.m.

Memorial contributions may be made in his honor to the bus ministry at Lakewood Baptist Church, or the Chattanooga Heart Transplant Support Group care of Erlanger Hospital.

Waldo Oran Kinser, 58, of Chatsworth, Ga., died Sunday, February 12, 2012 at his residence. An Anhydrous Ammonia leak at BASF Corporation on Amnicola Highway is causing major traffic issues this morning. Woman Shot Up To 8 Times In East Chattanooga Murder

Chattanooga Police pfficers responded Monday night to 1907 Daisy St. in East Chattanooga on a report of a woman who had been shot.  When they arrived around 9 p.m., they found a female inside the business who had been shot 4-6 times.
