The Jewish Cultural Center is producing a new series titled Center Stage. The series is designed to showcase different cultural activities from other areas of country at least once monthly.
In August, Center Stage is presenting the 92nd Street Y Series from New York City. The Jewish Cultural Center is the only place where you can view DVDs from the live satellite programs for which the Y is famous.
The series will be held on Mondays, Aug. 3, 10 and 17 at 7:30 p.m. The series schedule includes:
Aug. 3: Geo-Greenism with New York Times columnist Thomas Friedman
Aug. 10: Moral Courage, a conversation with CNN correspondent Christiane Amanpour led by Muslim reformed Irshad Manji.
Aug. 17: Why Faith Matters, Rabbi David Wolpe is interviewed by novelist Jonathan Safran Foer.
The cost for the series is $18 or $10 per single session. Coffee and dessert are included.
