Wilma Jean Bookout, 77, of Harrison, died on Thursday, July 2, 2009 in a local hospital.

Jean was born in Alabama to the late McKinley and Georgia Crowe. She had lived in Chattanooga most of her life and was a member of New Haven Baptist Church.

Jean was preceded in death by a brother, Conrad Crowe.

Survivors include her loving husband, Arthur Bookout; daughter, Kelly Lynn and husband, David of Harrison, three sons, Terry Bookout, Jacksonville, Fl., Tim Bookout, Alamo, Ga., and Phil Bookout, Chattanooga; brother, Billy Crowe, Soddy Daisy; three grandchildren, Matthew Brown, Carmen Hall and Dustin Bookout; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, July 5, in the Heritage Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Jerry Atkins officiating. Interment will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens with Matthew Brown, Burl Dill, Jerry Fox, Billy Crowe, John Pelham and Bryan West serving as pallbearers.

Waldo Oran Kinser, 58, of Chatsworth, Ga., died Sunday, February 12, 2012 at his residence. Waldo was born May 12, 1953 in Ellijay, Ga., a son of the late Wilbur Oran and Texxie Dotson Kinser; and was also preceded in death by a brother, Johnny Kinser; and sister, Debbie Kinser. Ammonia Leak At BASF On Amnicola Highway Causes Major Traffic Backups

An Anhydrous Ammonia leak at BASF Corporation on Amnicola Highway is causing major traffic issues this morning. The leak reportedly occurred shortly before 5 a.m. The Chattanooga Fire Department responded with several fire companies, and the haz-mat team. Woman Shot Up To 8 Times In East Chattanooga Murder

Chattanooga Police pfficers responded Monday night to 1907 Daisy St. in East Chattanooga on a report of a woman who had been shot.  When they arrived around 9 p.m., they found a female inside the business who had been shot 4-6 times.
