Phyllis J. Bise, 65, of Chattanooga, lost her courageous three-year battle with ovarian cancer on Friday, June 26, 2009.

Phyllis had the privilege of enjoying her home in Chattanooga for 24 years and her second home in Marco Island, Fl., for five years. Phyllis received her BA in Design and was the owner of The Finishing Touch Interior Design Studio for 18 years. She was blessed to do what she truly loved for a living.

She was preceded in death by her father, Grady Fleming; stepmother, Virgie Fleming; sister, Nora Fleming and brother, Ted Fleming.

She is survived by her mother, Kelsie Fleming; son and daughter-in-law, L. Carson II and Catherine Bise; daughter and son-in-law, Michele and Chris Gratch; grandchildren, Bronwyn Bise and Bella Gratch; sister and brother-in-law, Genola and John Dallas; brother, Tollie Fleming; two nieces, five nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

A celebration of her life will be held at 5 p.m. on Saturday, July 11, at Heritage Funeral Home with Rev. Mark Flin officiating.

The family will receive friends starting at 4 p.m. on Saturday.

Waldo Oran Kinser, 58, of Chatsworth, Ga., died Sunday, February 12, 2012 at his residence. Ammonia Leak At BASF On Amnicola Highway Causes Major Traffic Backups

An Anhydrous Ammonia leak at BASF Corporation on Amnicola Highway is causing major traffic issues this morning. The leak reportedly occurred shortly before 5 a.m. The Chattanooga Fire Department responded with several fire companies, and the haz-mat team. Woman Shot Up To 8 Times In East Chattanooga Murder

Chattanooga Police pfficers responded Monday night to 1907 Daisy St. in East Chattanooga on a report of a woman who had been shot.  When they arrived around 9 p.m., they found a female inside the business who had been shot 4-6 times.
