A Dade County man who made a reckless escape on Wednesday decided to turn himself in on Friday.
Jason Plummer hid in a wooded area after getting away from the jail and stealing a truck.
Then he called with his cell phone to say he was turning himself in.
He was back in the Dade County Jail Friday morning.
Plummer had climbed through a ceiling vent to make his escape.
After stealing a truck, he drove at high speeds before eluding pursuers.
He is facing multiple new charges.
