Joyce D. Wilson, 53, of Georgetown, died Thursday evening, July 2, 2009.

Joyce was a 1974 graduate of Bradley Central High School. She was an avid Atlanta Braves Fan and a Tennessee Volunteer Fan. She was a member of the Stanfield Baptist Church.

Joyce was preceded in death by her daughter, Robin Wilson; her maternal grandfather, Lenard Grisham; and her paternal grandparents, Nola and John Howard Frazier.

Survivors include her husband, Anthony R. “Tony” Wilson of Georgetown; her daughter, Rachel Wilson of Cleveland; her parents, Bobbie and D. W. “Dub” Frazier of Georgetown; her brother, Dewayne Frazier and his wife Freda also of Georgetown; several brothers and sisters-in-law; and several nieces and nephews.

The Remembrance of Life Service will be conducted Sunday, July 5, at 2 p.m., from the Stanfield Baptist Church with Reverend Eric Geren and Reverend David Evans officiating. Interment will follow in the Swafford-Davis Cemetery with Jason Frazier, Mark Jenkins, Jay Chapman, Rick Brown, Chris Samples, Patrick Smith and Mitch Loggins serving as pallbearers. The body may be viewed from 1 until 2 p.m. at the Church on Sunday, July 5.

The family will receive friends from 6 until 9 p.m. Saturday, July 4, at the North Ocoee Chapel of the Jim Rush Funeral Homes who has charge of the arrangements.

Ammonia Leak At BASF On Amnicola Highway Causes Major Traffic Backups

An Anhydrous Ammonia leak at BASF Corporation on Amnicola Highway is causing major traffic issues this morning. Woman Shot Up To 8 Times In East Chattanooga Murder

Chattanooga Police pfficers responded Monday night to 1907 Daisy St. in East Chattanooga on a report of a woman who had been shot.  When they arrived around 9 p.m., they found a female inside the business who had been shot 4-6 times.
