KZ-106 will present Chattanooga Rocks For The Veterans, a concert to benefit Veteran’s outreach programs, on Saturday, Nov. 7.
The concert stars seminal 70’s classic rockers, Kansas with special guests; The Edgar Winter Band. Also making a rare reunion appearance at the show, will be Chattanooga legends, Overland Express.
The concert will be held at First Tennessee Pavilion, across from Finley Stadium on Carter Street and will start at 7 p.m. All tickets are $27.50, general admission in advance and $30 on the day of show. Tickets will go on sale on Monday at 10 a.m. at the UTC Arena box office and Compact Discovery on Ringgold Road. Tickets can also be purchased on-line at TICKETTRACKS.COM or by phone at 266-6627.
A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Chattanooga Area Veteran’s Council and other Veteran’s outreach programs.

Review for Edgar Winter:
Texas native Edgar Winter was propelled into the national spotlight in 1971 with his acclaimed version of “Tobacco Road.” Winter’s innovative mix of Rock, Blues and Jazz later resulted in #1 classics, “Frankenstein” and “Free Ride.”
Review for Overland Express:
Overland Express dominated the Chattanooga club scene throughout most of the 70’s recording two acclaimed albums and drawing turn-away crowds wherever they appeared. This very special reunion performance features all of the original members of the band.
Chattanooga Rocks For The Veterans will also feature a variety of food and beverage choices from the menus of some of Chattanooga’s most popular restaurants including Northshore Grille, Midtown Music Hall and Coltrane’s On 9th. A portion of all food and beverage proceeds from the evening will also benefit the Veterans.
Gates to the all-ages show will open at 5 p.m. with the show starting at 7 p.m. Lawn chairs are welcome.
