The Hamilton County Sheriff's Office was called to 1700 Daughtery Ferry road Friday evening at approximately 9 p.m. on a traffic crash and found that a motorcyclist had been killed.
At the scene it was found that the accident involved a 2005 Suzuki motorcycle. The victim was traveling eastbound on Daughtery Ferry Road when the crash occurred.
Traffic Investigator Deputy Eddie Sledge advised that after leaving the roadway, the bike traveled approximately 51 feet before coming to a stop. The driver was wearing a helmet.
Hamilton County Emergency Medical Services and Sale Creek Fire Rescue responded to the scene, where CPR was initiated and LifeForce was called to transport the patient to Erlanger Hospital.
The patient died from the injuries he sustained in the crash. He was identified as Donald Williams, 59, of Sale Creek.
The investigation into the crash is on-going and is being handled by the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office Traffic Division.
