Ryan's On Lee Highway Closes

Ryan's Grill Buffet & Bakery on Lee Highway has closed its doors.

In its final days, the familiar East Brainerd restaurant was offering lunches for $4.99.

Ryan's locations are still open on Hixson Pike and Ringgold Road.

The Ryan's chain was founded in 1977 by Alvin A. McCall. It was sold to Buffets, Inc. in 2006.

There are over 200 units in the buffet chain.

The corporate headquarters is Greer, S.C.

The store that closed was at 6734 Lee Highway at the junction with Hickory Valley Road.


Proni’s – Don’t Be Paranoid, It’s Just Pizza!

Located at 5001 Brainerd Road is a little place called Proni’s. I had heard that they had good pizza, so last week I stopped in for a visit. You order at the counter and they offer subs, gyros, wings, spaghetti and lasagna as well as their pizzas. Head Of BB&T's Chattanooga Commercial Banking Operations To Plead Guilty To Making Fraudulent Loans

The head of BB&T's Chattanooga commercial banking operations has been charged by federal authorities with making fraudulent loans. Tracy Brown is set to plead guilty to bank fraud on June 4.
